Casco authorities are continuing to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of 34-year-old Kyle Lunn Thursday evening on Roosevelt Trail, also known as Route 302. According to preliminary information released by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. when a 2003 Honda motorcycle reportedly crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2011 Lexus sedan operated by 26-year-old Michael Peterson of Naples.

Emergency responders arriving at the scene reportedly found Lunn deceased from injuries sustained in the impact. A juvenile passenger riding on the motorcycle survived the collision but suffered critical, life-threatening injuries and was transported to a regional trauma center for emergency treatment. Peterson was also injured and reportedly received treatment for minor injuries.

Investigators have not yet determined the precise cause of the crash, and officials state the incident remains under active investigation. Authorities are expected to review roadway conditions, mechanical factors, witness statements, and standard toxicology findings as part of the ongoing inquiry.
